Charitable Donation Scheme for taxpayers in Ireland

The Charitable Donation Scheme operated by the Revenue Commissioners is a scheme that allows charities to reclaim tax on donations over €250 made by a taxpayer in Ireland, which means your donations over €250 will be worth more to us at no extra cost to you. If you sign up for this Scheme we can claim back a refund of tax paid on your donation by you.

Moneys recovered from Revenue through this scheme form a vital part of our annual income. In the 2019 tax year we reclaimed nearly €15,500.00 from Revenue.

Joining the scheme is very simple and straightforward, requiring little effort on your part.  All you have to do is:

  • be a PAYE or Self-Assessed income tax payer within this State
  • download and sign a very short CHY3 Certificate
  • make your future donations either by standing order or direct debit through your Bank or by cash/cheque in the offertory basket, using envelopes that we supply.
  • return your completed forms to the parish office

If you are in a position to join the Scheme, we would be very grateful.

Planned giving for non-Ireland taxpayers

If you are not an income tax payer you can still join our planned giving scheme using standing orders, direct debits or envelopes.
